Thank you for responding. Installed p7zip-rar. Had previously installed rar but installed it again. Engrampa now can open an .rar file. Am not looking to see if I have a .7zip file to try. Again, thank you for responding! (You are the 5th to do so in 3 years!) So your system misses RAR packages which marked as Suggests for Engrampa.
