[Bug 195784] Re: Please sync 1.6.0.1 with debianSync request.

2008-05-19 Thread Gerhard Kremer
I'd like this bug to be addressed too. FWIW, although I haven't tried to
build a .deb package, I can compile Labplot on Hardy/386 without
problems using its configure make.

[Bug 195784] Re: Please sync 1.6.0.1 with debianSync request.

2008-05-15 Thread Lee Garrett
Hi again,

I tried compiling 1.6.0 on Ubuntu hardy (and updating some libraries to fulfill
the build-deps), but it explodes.
Guess it won't be that easy to backport. Output is below.

[Bug 195784] Re: Please sync 1.6.0.1 with debianSync request.

2008-05-15 Thread Lee Garrett
(argh ... missed to subscribe to this bug.)

Yes, labplot 1.6.0 fixes some important bugs I ran as I still ran
debian/sid.

See here:
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=409551
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=409490

I think this is rather nasty as I ran into the first one (which is far more
annoying) quite often.
And if you don't save all the time, some of your work might be gone then :(

Regards,
Lee

Probably too late. Hardy is already released.

2008-04-26 Thread Jordan Mantha
If there are specific important bugs to fix for Hardy we can do a Stable
Release Update (SRU) but I think there are way too many changes to just
sync from Debian for Hardy.

ACK.

This should be done before Hardy is out.
