The bug looks like a missing texture. Rounded rectangles are made up of 5 solid rectangles plus 4 rounded corner textures. I have only seen the rounded corners go missing in: * Nvidia bug 1876632 * Upstream bug https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/-/issues/4477 (fixed in gnome-shell 42.rc) Maybe it's the second one because gnome-shell 42~beta-1ubuntu2 was missing that fix.
