[Bug 1967651] Re: Unicomp trackball/keyboard not recognised in Xorg sessions
Weird. That's been the default input handler for years so I don't know why your system didn't have it installed. Still, not a bug in the package itself if the package was missing. ** Bug watch added: gitlab.freedesktop.org/xorg/driver/xf86-input-libinput/-/issues #51 https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/xorg/driver/xf86-input-libinput/-/issues/51 ** Also affects: xserver-xorg-input-libinput via https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/xorg/driver/xf86-input-libinput/-/issues/51 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** Changed in: xserver-xorg-input-libinput (Ubuntu) Status: Fix Released => Invalid ** Summary changed: - Unicomp trackball/keyboard not recognised in Xorg sessions + xserver-xorg-input-libinput is not installed and input doesn't work -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1967651 Title: xserver-xorg-input-libinput is not installed and input doesn't work To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/xserver-xorg-input-libinput/+bug/1967651/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1967651] Re: Unicomp trackball/keyboard not recognised in Xorg sessions
adding the package xserver-xorg-input-libinput appears to have solved the problem. According to the folks at freedesktop, it should have defaulted to use the libinput driver, even without the 40-libinput.conf file, but in my case it didn't ** Changed in: xserver-xorg-input-libinput (Ubuntu) Status: New => Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1967651 Title: Unicomp trackball/keyboard not recognised in Xorg sessions To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-input-libinput/+bug/1967651/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1967651] Re: Unicomp trackball/keyboard not recognised in Xorg sessions
I was hoping that updates to the full release would fix this, but it hasn't. Any suggestions on what I should try to track this down? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1967651 Title: Unicomp trackball/keyboard not recognised in Xorg sessions To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-input-libinput/+bug/1967651/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

separate bug filed for wayland note that for this bug I am not sure that it's only an input problem for this bug.
