[Bug 198558] Re: hwclock does not work
I think this is a duplicate of #39959: hwclock won't work without directisa option for some systems (including my Dell Optiplex 745 desktop with Feisty). https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/util-linux/+bug/39959 This also suggests a workaround (add directisa option manually to hwclock.sh script). -- hwclock does not work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/198558 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 198558] Re: hwclock does not work
Same here. However, adding --directisa makes this problem go away. [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~# hwclock --debug --directisa hwclock from util-linux-ng 2.13.1 Using direct I/O instructions to ISA clock. Last drift adjustment done at 1211218444 seconds after 1969 Last calibration done at 1211218444 seconds after 1969 Hardware clock is on UTC time Assuming hardware clock is kept in UTC time. [Bug 198558] Re: hwclock does not work
Same problem for me, this is my hwclock output: sudo hwclock --debug [sudo] password for davide: hwclock from util-linux-ng 2.13.1 Using /dev interface to clock. Last drift adjustment done at 1205795002 seconds after 1969 Last calibration done at 1205795002 seconds after 1969 Hardware clock is on local time Assuming hardware clock is kept in local time. Waiting for clock tick... select() to /dev/rtc to wait for clock tick timed out ...got clock tick Output of the other command is the same. Every time I reboot the clock go an hour back I have a compiled kernel 2.6.24.4 with same problem. The problem begin when I have tried to set clock forward for one hour, due to the legal time of my nation. -- hwclock does not work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/198558 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
