You are right, Harald, the dependency bugs are in the individual KDE4 packages, not in kubuntu-kde4-meta. Actually the proposed solution is working around the problem, not sovling it... if you install a singe KDE 4 package which pulls in desktop files without the libs the issue will still be there.
