Now running Metacity 2.23.55 in Intrepid. If using AWN, the AWN bar would actually disappear until Gnome-Do 'settled'. I had the same problem but managed to work around it by changing the mouse_button_modifier in metacity (inside the configuration editor) from Super to Alt. Sorry. One thing I forgot to mention. This only happens if I'm running Avant-Window-Navigator. If I kill AWN, Gnome Do works perfectly. If I run Compiz instead of Metacity, then Gnome Do works fine with AWN.
