[Bug 212295] Re: Can't print as bitmap with on HP inkjet printer
Printing as a bitmap means that Inkscape will generate PostScript output containing one big image instead of vector operators. PostScript is the standard printer language used by all applications on Linux. CUPS (or whatever your distro uses) will run ghostscript to convert the PostScript generated by applications into something your printer understands. It sounds like either CUPS is incorrectly configured or there is some other bug in your distro. It is not an Inkscape bug. -- Can't print as bitmap with on HP inkjet printer https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/212295 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 212295] Re: Can't print as bitmap with on HP inkjet printer
Yes, I have to revoke this bug. It turned out my printer was misconfigured (somehow the printer was automatically recognized and installed, but the driver was missing). Apologies for a false alarm. ** Changed in: inkscape Status: New = Invalid ** Changed in: inkscape (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- Can't print as bitmap with on HP inkjet printer https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/212295 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
