Public bug reported: Binary package hint: bootchart
ubuntu = 7.10 (gutsy) package = bootchart 0.9-0ubuntu7 related "bug" = 204186 /etc/init.d/stop-bootchart uses rsvg (rsvg-convert) to convert the generated SVG file into a PNG image. Usually this is fairly transparent. However, when fsck runs at boot, the resulting SVG apparently has a lot of information, because it takes a very long time for rsvg-convert to finish, and the resulting PNG image has a much larger filesize than usual. During the conversion process, rsvg-convert takes up >90% cpu and ram, turning the whole machine to sludge. If svg conversion is not removed (as proposed in 204186), then this should be addressed. ** Affects: bootchart (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- after fsck, bootchart -> rsvg-convert makes computer slow https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/218499 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
