[Bug 230769] Re: xserver crashes in Xubuntu, transmission, with display compositor enabled
Hi rotjix, Please attach the output of `lspci -vvnn`, and attach your /var/log/Xorg.0.log file from after reproducing this issue. If you've made any customizations to your /etc/X11/xorg.conf please attach that as well. ** Changed in: xorg (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- xserver crashes in Xubuntu, transmission, with display compositor enabled https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/230769 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 230769] Re: xserver crashes in Xubuntu, transmission, with display compositor enabled
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Please attach your X server configuration file (/etc/X11/xorg.conf) and X server log file (/var/log/Xorg.0.log) to the bug report as individual uncompressed file attachments using the "Attachment:" box below. Could you please also try to run without any /etc/X11/xorg.conf and let Xorg autodetect your display and video card? Please also attach the /var/log/Xorg.0.log from this attempt. Thanks in advance. ** Changed in: xorg (Ubuntu) Sourcepackagename: None => xorg -- xserver crashes in Xubuntu, transmission, with display compositor enabled https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/230769 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 230769] Re: xserver crashes in Xubuntu, transmission, with display compositor enabled
Same problem here. Transmission under Xubuntu with compositor enabled; X-server crashes every time I try to resize the torrent detail window (which is too small to begin with). I have the same problem with Ubuntu Hardy. When resizing the details window and having the "visual effects" at "normal" level the x-server (or once even the whole system) crashes. -- xserver crashes in Xubuntu, transmission, with display compositor enabled https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/230769 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 230769] Re: xserver crashes in Xubuntu, transmission, with display compositor enabled
** Description changed: How to reproduce Xubuntu Hardy - Enable display compositor (only enable shadows) + Enable display compositor (only enable shadows for regular windows) Run transmission with existing torrent, or add a new one Open torrent details > peers. Crash happens just after a peer is added. Sometimes crashed while I was resizing details window, but probable a peer was added while resizing the window. -- xserver crashes in Xubuntu, transmission, with display compositor enabled https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/230769 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
