[Bug 231930] Re: libGL.so symlink failed
I'm running Ubuntu Interpid x86_64 and installed CUDA 2.1 drivers (version 180.22) from nvidia. I had to install libgl1-mesa-dev (7.2-1ubuntu2) to compile a application (I'm not upgrading) got this error and Freme's solution worked for me too. -- libGL.so symlink failed https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/231930 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 231930] Re: libGL.so symlink failed
+1... I'm running Ubuntu x86_64, and I just got this error after a failure while upgrading from Hardy to Intrepid. Freme's solution solved the issue and allowed me to "Fix Broken Packages". -- libGL.so symlink failed https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/231930 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I'm having the same error and I am not using nvidia drivers. Trying the above had no effect. Same problem after installing Nvidia's own binary driver from nvidia.com on Intrepid. [Bug 231930] Re: libGL.so symlink failed
Had the same problems with other packages as well (ia32-libs and stuff). Some investigation showed that this really is due to the nvidia-driver-crap. The following solution fixed all my Problems: mkdir -p /usr/lib/nvidia mkdir -p /usr/lib32/nvidia I can only guess that the nvidia-packages by ubuntu use sligthly different folders than the nvidia-binaries. ** Changed in: mesa (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Freme (freme) Status: Confirmed => Fix Released -- libGL.so symlink failed https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/231930 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
