The remote bug - gnome-bugs #555007 - is marked status: resolved;
resolution: fixed. Based on that bug, I am marking this report for

[Bug 232161] Re: no shortcut for toggling between absolute and relative addressing

2008-11-25 Thread Francesco Potortì
Thank you. I commented on bugzilla. The problem is corrected in gnumeric
1.8.2. Here is the note I posted on bugzilla.

Open the gnumeric spreadsheet from the menu.
It claims to be 1.7.11 (so maybe the problem is here).

Okay, even though I have an old Gutsy Ubuntu installation, I dare force
all the dependencies and install gnumeric 1.8.2 and libcairo-0-6.
Incredibly everything seems to work perfectly, and now F4 does its job!

Thanks, people :)

Question from Bugzilla:

F4 works for addresses too, but we had a bug a some point.

Precisely what version are you using?

Thank you for taking the time to make Ubuntu better. Since what you
submitted is not really a bug, or a problem, but rather an Feature
Request to improve Ubuntu, you are invited to post your idea in Ubuntu
Brainstorm at https://brainstorm.ubuntu.com/ where it can be discussed,
voted by the community and reviewed by developers. Thanks for taking the
time to share your opinion!

I would suggest that you could a shortcut key for this, but I think it
would not be application specific.
