Please see this document for currently supported Ubuntu releases: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases We were wondering if this is still an issue on a supported release? If so, can you try with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ . If it remains an issue, could you please provide the information following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingKernelSuspendHibernateResume ? As well, please run the following command in a supported release from a Terminal (Applications-Accessories-Terminal). I also have the same message every time I hibernate my ubuntu - Hardy. I am using Acer TM3210 using fglrx 8.522. I can confirm this bug, with 2.6.24-17, fglrx 8.5. The difference is that the system seems to hibernate fine, but does not resume on reboot (it just cold boots) However, if I go to the virtual console and hibernate from there, it works.
