[Bug 246934] Re: Kernel oops 2.6.24-19-server

2008-08-15 Thread PETIT Aymeric
Hi Leann Ogasawara,

I have found the bug, it's not due to a linux bug but to an hardware bug. I get
a "memory warning" from the bios at startup, I run memtest and it report a lot
of error. :-(
So this bug is invalid.

Regards, Aymeric

[Bug 246934] Re: Kernel oops 2.6.24-19-server

2008-08-15 Thread Leann Ogasawara
Hi Petit Aymeric,

Just curious how often this kernel oops occurs?

Also, I'm not sure if you'd be interested or even willing to test, but
the latest Alpha for the upcoming Intrepid Ibex 8.10 is available for
testing - http://www.ubuntu.com/testing . It contains an updated 2.6.26
kernel. If you'd be willing to test this newer kernel it might be
helpful to know if this will remain an issue with the upcoming release.
Please let us know your results if you happen to test. Thanks.
