Pedro, am I missing something here? As I read your message again, it appears to me that you may have misunderstood. The F-Spot developers have fixed the problem in their own repository (http://svn.gnome.org/viewvc/f-spot?view=revisionrevision=2625). This is *not* fixed in Ubuntu's SVN for Intrepid. The Bug Watch Updater automatically adjusted the status of this bug from Unknown to Incomplete on 2008-07-24. As Jared M. noted above, the F-Spot developers have indicated that a fix is available in F-Spot's SVN repository. It seems to me that the status of this bug should be either Confirmed, or In progress. Will this bug be addressed?
