[Bug 258078] Re: contact list position after closing/re-opening

2008-09-23 Thread Marques Johansson
This is still an issue for me with empathy_2.24.0-1ubuntu1_i386.deb and
metacity_2.24.0-0ubuntu1_i386.deb (Intrepid). In my experience, the
contact list does not scroll down the page with each show/hide, but it
always resets its position to the top left position (but below the
panel)). This system has been upgraded with each Ubuntu since.. Breezy?

This seems to relate to the following bugs:
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=528079 (empathy, marked duplicate of
486476)
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=486476 (metacity)

[Bug 258078] Re: contact list position after closing/re-opening

2008-09-23 Thread Marques Johansson
I've made a liar of myself. I was experiencing this before the most
recent update (2.24). I am no longer experiencing this. I moved the
list to the right side of the screen and it has successfully restored
that position after several application quits / restarts and show /
hides.

Seems to be fixed.

[Bug 258078] Re: contact list position after closing/re-opening

2008-08-27 Thread Josh Smith
Very odd bug but i get it too.

Tried on a fresh user profile, empathy version 2.23.90 on intrepid, and
i do experience the window moving down and then right, as the green
circle is continually clicked

If i am running compiz i see the bug. If i switch to metacity the bug
stops, if i switch to compiz it reappears. i tried many switches and
have been unable to find it break that pattern

gdm 2.20.7

running 'watch cat ~/.gnome2/Empathy/geometry.ini' I can see the x and y
change. I know the #s would be specific to my setup probably, but the x
increases by 10 everytime(including after it has hit bottom and begins moving
right) and the y increases by 48(stops increasing once it hits bottom) (10 and
48 are constant if i resize or move window if that matters)
