I have the exact same issue (jaunty alpha 5) fully patched as of 6 Mar 2009. I have an ATI Radeon HD2600 PCI-E X 16 This issue has been around since I updated to jaunty. No worries because I expected as much from alpha :) However, I just wanted to update saying the last update didn't resolve it. I have tried both ATI drivers and Jaunty's drivers for my radeon card. I get the same result each time the screen saver exits. It is reproducible about 75% of the time. If it goes into screensaver for just a few seconds...maybe a min or two it exits fine. If it's in screen saver longer then 3 minutes (or so) it does the above error.
