lsb_release -rd
Description:    Ubuntu intrepid (development branch)
Release:        8.10

Intrepid latest updates applied.

In the dynamic playlists tab on amarok, click on "repopulate."
What happens: Amarok crashes.
What I expect to happen: Amarok doesn't crash

The command line gives the following output (the last few lines only):

amarok: BEGIN: virtual void CollectionTreeView::mousePressEvent(QMouseEvent*)
amarok: END__: virtual void CollectionTreeView::mousePressEvent(QMouseEvent*) -

It then continues to crash each time I open it , with the command line output
(last few lines only)

<unknown program name>(507)/: Communication problem with "amarok" , it
probably crashed.
Error message was: "org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply" : " "Message did not
receive a reply (timeout by message bus)" "

this can be solved using rm -Rf ~/.kde/share/apps/amarok, which allows amarok
to start again.
