[Bug 273864] Re: Ubuntu Intrepid defaults to Hardy

2009-02-22 Thread Christopher Swift
Intrepid alpha 6 is no longer the current iso; if in need of Intrepid,
please use the release version. The bug is not reproducible with Hardy
and the current Intrepid release version ISO.

[Bug 273864] Re: Ubuntu Intrepid defaults to Hardy

2008-09-24 Thread Chris Coulson
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. Unfortunately we can't fix it, , because your description
didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful to read How
to report bugs effectively
http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful
if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem.

We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at
http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures

At a minimum, we need:
1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the
problem (please be specific),
2. the behavior you expected, and
3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).
Thanks!

Chris, thank for your email., I had read how to report bugs but some
things did not seem to apply to my problem
Actions.Sometime ago I installed Kubuntu 8.01 on sdab yesterday I
installed Kubuntu 8.10 Alpha on sda1 [500mb of drive ] and Ubuntu 8.10
Alpha 6 on about 300Mb of drive on sdab every thing uses the same
graphics card which is a Nvidia G Force 512Mb AGP card. On the Kubuntu
8.10 alpha 6
I had a kubuntu screen come up as Ubuntu welcome to 7.01 I installed FF
3 and Thunderbird via the Terminal so they were part of the Kubuntu 7.10
alpha 6 program , I am trying to replicate this problem.

   Regards Ken.
