[Bug 274582] Re: video is garbled in totem when compiz is enabled
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Please attach your X server configuration file (/etc/X11/xorg.conf) and X server log file (/var/log/Xorg.0.log) to the bug report as individual uncompressed file attachments using the Attachment: box below. Could you please also try to run without any /etc/X11/xorg.conf and let Xorg autodetect your display and video card? Please also attach the /var/log/Xorg.0.log from this attempt. Thanks in advance. -- video is garbled in totem when compiz is enabled https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/274582 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Attached. System runs fine without xorg.conf (but video bug is still present). The only issue in that case is that GDM's screen resolution is higher than my GNOME setting, but that's not a big problem. -- Regards, Gregory. ** Attachment added: xorg.conf http://launchpadlibrarian.net/18014166/xorg.conf ** Attachment added: Xorg.0.log http://launchpadlibrarian.net/18014167/Xorg.0.log ** Attachment added: Xorg.0.log-no-xorg-conf http://launchpadlibrarian.net/18014168/Xorg.0.log-no-xorg-conf -- video is garbled in totem when compiz is enabled https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/274582 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Re: [Bug 274582] Re: video is garbled in totem when compiz is enabled
2008/9/28 Gregory Petrosyan [EMAIL PROTECTED]: Yes, everything is just fine. Looks like this is XVideo + Compiz issue. Update: I've triggered this bug once (unable to reproduce it now) with compiz disabled, so this looks like not a compiz issue. Maybe this is driver or X related? Wild guess: with compiz enabled, video card is utilized much more, and because of that bug is always visible; when compiz is disabled, video card is almost idle, and that's why I almost never see this bug in this situation. How can I help in debugging this issue? -- Regards, Gregory. -- video is garbled in totem when compiz is enabled https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/274582 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

How can I find this out?
