The ones that reported the problem with the 05a9: device (omnivision) please go to bug #290506 or bug #287888 ,as these bugs are related to uvcvideo driver corresponding to your webcams. As the original reporter is no longer having the issue i'm closing this bug. I have a creative webcam that worked with Cheese in Hardy but doesn't work with Cheese in Intrepid. My lsusb output is: Bus 003 Device 002: ID 05a9:0511 OmniVision Technologies, Inc. Intrepid has lost my video camera also - its not found in cheese, ekiga or skype - all these worked under hardy. Correction, Ekiga can pick it up, apparently.
