Hi all I can confirm this problem too. After system startup, I can use konsole as it should be, I can copy texts inside konsole with context menu and shortcut key. However, after I have copied(selected?) anything from other applications(GTK apps like firefox or QT apps like kchmviewer), I cannot copy anything inside konsole. Hey we are in version 4.2.4 and this problem is not solved yet, why so? I confirm, I have the same issue on KDE 4.1.2 running on 8.04. If I try to copy a text from Eclipse (which is also a GTK UI) it doesn't work either. Just to make sure, what version of KDE4 are you running? You can find that out with any kde4 application by going to help - about application. Also, is klipper running? Funky stuff happens if klipper isn't running.
