Downloaded the latest daily-live iso.
A full install flash drive built using a live usb created using usb-creator
now boots up without problem.

Status in usb-creator source package in Ubuntu: New
Bug description:
Binary package hint: usb-creator
Installed 8.10 Beta to flash using usb-creator.
Used this drive to full install 8.10 Beta to second flash drive.
Installer directed root to the persistent flash in menu.lst and not the
flash I was now trying to build.
Editing menu.lst to root (0,2) worked for me but I have fat32, home, root
and swap partitions.
