Public bug reported:

"..MP-BIOS bug: 8254 timer not connected to IO-APIC" message when
booting.

Apparently it is not a functional bug, since you can found the next
process in the "dmesg"

[ 0.464029] ..MP-BIOS bug: 8254 timer not connected to IO-APIC
[ 0.464029] ...trying to set up timer (IRQ0) through the 8259A ...
[ 0.464029] ..... (found apic 0 pin 0) ...
[ 0.505291] ....... works.

This is very annoying since Feisty.

And also I have got "Aperture beyond 4GB. Ignoring" message as well
(which is found in
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/271070).

I am using Intrepid beta (AMD64). Kernel version is 2.6.27-7.11-generic.
My laptop is Dell Inspiron 1501, AMD Turion 64 x 2, 2GB (ram).

Hope you can fix it.

All Yours.
