When I start a terminal and type in bash alsa-info.sh I get this : bash: alsa-info.sh: command not found. It says: Please download and run the script as follows: bash alsa-info.sh. Does this mean to just type it in to a terminal window because there is no live link to download. Thanks for any further help. Hi, The instructions can be confusing for newer users at times. You need to download the file from http://alsa-project.org/alsa-info.sh and save it to your home folder, then run the bash alsa-info.sh in the terminal. Also which flash player are you using, Gnash, Adobe, etc.? One final thing :) It may be a problem in Firefox itself (assuming you are using Firefox), go to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MozillaTeam/Bugs?action=showredirect=DebuggingFirefox and attach any files as necessary. The link to download the file opens up a browser window with text about the program. What do I do? I can't save link as or download a file. I installed Adobe Flash Player from following instructions on Youtube. It went to Adobe's site and I installed the .deb version. I can view video but sound does not work. I CAN hear the audio if I view youtube videos using Totem movie player. Hi, What is the problem with Save Link As? If you right click the above link to alsa-info.sh and save the file to your home folder as alsa-info.sh you will be able to run the required command. Also you are using a version of flash player that is not supported by Ubuntu. Please remove this version and in a terminal run sudo apt-get install ubuntu-restricted-extras this will ensure it is installed correctly and _should_ resolve the problem. The above command will also install whatever you need for mp3 playback, videos, etc. Marking as Invalid. If this continues to be a problem, just nudge us and we will help.
