Public bug reported: evand said these lines in casper are where the issue lies (or at least that's how i understood it): ~/bzr/casper.trunk$ tail -n1 scripts/casper-bottom/02timezone cp -f /root/usr/share/zoneinfo/UTC /root/etc/localtime
When I boot into my Ubuntu Intrepid USB Distribution, my timezone is set to blank. I set the timezone to EST -5, reboot, and it comes up blank again. The way I see it is that Ubuntu-on-a-stick still thinks it's a live-cd, and this may be an issue with a few other things. ** Affects: casper (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Assignee: Evan Dandrea (evand) Status: New ** Changed in: casper (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Evan Dandrea (evand) -- Ubuntu Intrepid on USB resets Timezone on Boot https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/296855 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
