Hi mithro, This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/karmic . If it remains an issue, could you run the following command from a Terminal (Applications-Accessories-Terminal). I can confirm this bug on a Dell XPS1330 Ubuntu Intrepid Linux 2.6.27-11-generic #1 SMP Thu Jan 29 19:24:39 UTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux the strange thing is this bug only occurs with certain Accesspoints e.g. Cisco From time to time it using the wireless with those ap s even causes complete system hang. I'm using a vpn-connection (cisco - vpn with vpnc) on top of the wireless connection. Let me know if you need further details.
