Public bug reported: I've a Geforce 9800GTX and I use it for CUDA computing with BOINC and GPUGRID. The problem is that boinc-client is started before the nvidia kernel module is loaded and then boinc-client failed to detect properly CUDA devices.
FIX: Change boinc-client start order from S20boinc-client to (for example) S99boinc-client This workaround have 2 advantages: 1- CUDA devices will be detect correctly (if I restart boinc-client manually when the system finish boot it works OK) 2- Boot times will be lower since boinc-client uses ALL CPU time available (at least in the default config) and it start a lot early than other important system resources like postfix, pulseaudo, hal, dkms... that will be a little affected from boinc cpu consumption. I don't know how to make a patch for this, but I'll do it.
