Public bug reported:

I installed the new updates and I restarted the system. Then, I couldn't
start Ubuntu. There was a problem with the graphics and there was a
window telling me that something had happened and I had to start in low
graphics mode or reset the graphics configuration.

I was using the last Nvidia driver which I downloaded (and installed)
from here: http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux_display_ia32_177.82.html
