[Bug 311393] Re: package libsnmp15 5.4.1~dfsg-7.1ubuntu6 failed to install/upgrade: il file tar ? rovinato - l'archivio del pacchetto ? rovinato
The ErrorMessage is something along the line tar file is corrupt - the package archive is corrupt (sorry for not including the translation, I supposed it was in english somewhere along the automatic attachments) In fact, I can't reproduce it either: after half an hour I tried again and the upgrade process went smoothly this time. sources.list was unchanged since the installation, but now I've added the proposed update (to get the latest kernel, otherwise my speedtouch modem would make it go BUG); I attach it anyway. Since it now works, perhaps you could just mark it as invalid, even though it's quite a curious behaviour. Could it be some kind of server problem? Thank you anyway! ** Attachment added: sources.list (proposed added) http://launchpadlibrarian.net/20743511/sources.list -- package libsnmp15 5.4.1~dfsg-7.1ubuntu6 failed to install/upgrade: il file tar ? rovinato - l'archivio del pacchetto ? rovinato https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/311393 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to net-snmp in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

Yes, as i suspected the issue was with the repositories, sometimes when they are syncing with the principal archive or generating the Packages.gz/Sources.gz this behavior can be seen, but it's fixed in the next minutes to half an hour. Thank you for your time reporting this. Marking as invalid. ** Changed in: net-snmp (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete = Invalid -- package libsnmp15 5.4.1~dfsg-7.1ubuntu6 failed to install/upgrade: il file tar ? rovinato - l'archivio del pacchetto ? rovinato https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/311393 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to net-snmp in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

Can't reproduce the bug, can you please post your sources.list? for what i understand it can be an issue with the repository you are using, but since i'm not an italian speaker, i'm almost guessing (spanish is not that different so i understand something).
