[Bug 311782] Re: Terminal transparency fail after games
This was a bug in gnome-terminal that has since been fixed. If you are still having this problem with a different terminal please open a bug against the package for that terminal, not compiz. ** Changed in: compiz (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed = Fix Released -- Terminal transparency fail after games https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/311782 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I have to turn off desktop effects off, to play tremulous or ioquake3, because if i dont, the sceen blinks every three seconds. When I turn off the compiz effect, the terminal window show switch to the standard transparency, not showing the windows under the terminal, just the background. It's fine. + I have a hp nx8220 laptop, with ubuntu hardy. I have to turn off desktop effects off, to play tremulous or ioquake3, because if i dont, the sceen blinks every three seconds. When I turn off the compiz effects, the terminal window show switches to the standard transparency, not showing the windows under the terminal, just the background. It's fine. But when I quit the game(s) and turn on the effects again, the terminals transparency stays standard (not showing the windows under). Restarting the terminal solves the problem.
