[Bug 322052] Re: [upstream] [3.1] odt to doc with document using tables doesn' work correctly

2009-08-27 Thread Chris Cheney
In either case they are both fixed in 3.1.1~rc1 which is now in Karmic.
3.1.1 should be in Karmic in a few days.

2009-08-20 Thread Odin Hørthe Omdal
@Chris, thank you, but the link doesn't work. Can't download a DEB of
2.4. It doesn't exist more. I found a tgz another place, hope it's good.

By the way, 3.1.0 has NOT fixed the problem. The problem is fixed in
3.1.1. It should be released 27th og august. How fast will it get picked
up by the OOo PPA? (If I can't install the tgz that is)

Oh, it's a different (but extremely similar(!?)) bug, this is the one:
http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=101451

Are you sure that's not the related upstream bug?

OK. I'm sick of this bug now. My coworkers are tired.

So. How can we downgrade to OpenOffice 2.4 for those that have upgraded
their laptops to 9.04? This bug is biting us hard.

Or just use the Ubuntu ppa 3.1.0 version for Ubuntu 9.04...

[Bug 322052] Re: [upstream] [3.1] odt to doc with document using tables doesn' work correctly

2009-05-07 Thread Žygimantas Beručka
This bug is critical! You cannot mark it as of low importance. If the
fix at http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=100429 is working
it must be backported in Jaunty's OOo as soon as possible and I mean it.

It is really really bad to lose tables working with .doc files for a
second time in a week and especially when in both cases it is noticed
and complained by my client. I had to export those files to the
MediaWiki format for saving data from those invisible tables, then
recreate them, save as .odt and send to a friend of mine and ask her to
save it to a .doc using OOo 2.4 and send me back. Please put the effort
to fix it asap.

You can see a table occupying white space in the screenshot, however it
is invisible and doesn't react to any input.

2009-04-01 Thread Ben C7 Hagen
this seems like a pretty serious bug to me. losing data when saving a
document is a major problem for most people. how hard would it be to
backport this fix to OOo 3.0.1?

ulrfuc,

Of course... it is fixed in upstream OOo 3.1 pre-release version, it is
still listed as Triaged for Ubuntu. It will be fixed in Ubuntu 9.10 when
we have OOo 3.1
