[Bug 323831] Re: openoffice can not preserve font size property.

2009-02-02 Thread Michele Mangili
Hello!

Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping to make
Ubuntu better!

I was unable to reproduce this issue! I went through the following
steps:

1) I have downloaded the file attached to this report.
(five_fnc_and_choas_4.doc)
2) Opened this file with OpenOffice.
3) Selected the first line.
4) Changed the font size to 20.
5) Saved the file as a new Microsoft Word 97/2000/XP document with name
five_fnc_and_choas_new.doc.
6) Closed OpenOffice.
7) Opened five_fnc_and_choas_new.doc and the font size of the first line was
20 as expected.

Is this procedure correct? What should I do in order to reproduce this
bug?

Thanks in advance!

Thank you for the suggestion. It worked. I think the problem is that I
create an empty .doc first, and then start editing and never tried the
other method.

Thank you again.

Status in “openoffice.org” source package in Ubuntu: Incomplete

Bug description:
Binary package hint: openoffice.org

I was written in chinese, and was able to change font size and boldface as I
wished. However, after I save the file as the word document, and quit; If I
read the file again, all the font size changed to size 10. On the other hand,
if I save the file as html or odt, then all the font sizes were preserved.
