I have the following packages installed already: - libsoup2.4-1 - rhythmbox - rhythmbox-dbg Near the bottom of the page https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash it reads: Alternatively, main Ubuntu repositories could contain '-dbg' debug symbol packages. Those are equivalent to '-dbgsym'. You can safely use either one, but not both at once. Since I have the -dbg package installed, I thought it was the same as the -dbgsym. Maybe I'm issuing the wrong commands to gdb? or other commands would be helpful? I use the attached script to launch rhythmbox in the debugger. I checked the /var/crash folder and found there are no files in this folder, even when viewing hidden files. Freeze while listening to Last.FM Don't know if it happened while it was moving to the next song or at another time.
