[Bug 331434] Re: Crash when closing video window

2009-06-25 Thread Neil Munro
Can you confirm that this bug happens on Ubuntu 9.04 with the latest
banshee? It might be that you may have to use the PPA to get the latest
Banshee. If you can confirm this bug no longer exists with the latest
releases we can close this bug, however if it still occurs let us know
and we shall do our best to further investigate.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and help make Ubuntu
better.

What GPU do you have? Also, does it only happen when you have high RAM
consumption? Try closing your other applications and see. I've noticed
this with Firefox and Totem before, so I don't think it's a Banshee
issue.

2009-02-19 Thread Daniel van Eeden
Memory info with banshee running.
$ cat /proc/meminfo | grep MemFree
MemFree:618116 kB

The amount of free memory doesn't make a difference

I'm testing on a Thinkpad T43 with 2G RAM

The GPU:
$ lspci -s 01:00.0 -v
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc M22 [Mobility Radeon
X300]
Subsystem: IBM Device 056e
Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 16
Memory at c000 (32-bit, prefetchable) [size=128M]
I/O ports at 3000 [size=256]
Memory at b010 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=64K]
[virtual] Expansion ROM at b012 [disabled] [size=128K]
Capabilities: access denied
Kernel modules: radeonfb

XGL is disabled by creating the following empty file
~/.config/xserver-xgl/disable

I'm not using compiz

I'm using the driver from xserver-xorg-video-radeon
