*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 311716 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/311716 I installed the test kernel from the following source and it fixed the problem: deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/stefan-bader-canonical/ppa/ubuntu intrepid main I imagine those fixes will be moved to the mainline kernel at some stage soon. 1. I am using Ubuntu 8.10 (Intripid) 2. The HAL package version I have installed is 0.5.11-4ubuntu4 3. Could you please include the version of ubuntu (i.e. 8.04, 8.10) and the variant (ubuntu, kubuntu, etc.).
