[Bug 332238] Re: Building against apache2-prefork-dev would allow mod_php5 cohabitation
This bug was fixed in libapache2-mod-passenger 2.2.5debian1-1 in upstream debian. These changes are already in Ubuntu lucid, closing the bug report. ** Changed in: passenger (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed = Fix Released -- Building against apache2-prefork-dev would allow mod_php5 cohabitation https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/332238 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 332238] Re: Building against apache2-prefork-dev would allow mod_php5 cohabitation
Chuck, It looks as if lucid allows libapache2-mod-php5 and libapache2-mod-passenger to coexist already. I believe this was fixed in debian bug #545872, which was included when passenger2.2.7debian-1 was synced. ** Bug watch added: Debian Bug tracker #545872 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=545872 ** Also affects: passenger (Debian) via http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=545872 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown -- Building against apache2-prefork-dev would allow mod_php5 cohabitation https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/332238 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 332238] Re: Building against apache2-prefork-dev would allow mod_php5 cohabitation
This causes a bit of a problem for me as well. The official install instructions at http://modrails.com/documentation/Users%20guide%20Apache.html#_apache_development_headers_aren_8217_t_installed suggest building with prefork as well. sudo apt-get install apache2-prefork-dev ** Changed in: passenger (Ubuntu) Status: New = Confirmed -- Building against apache2-prefork-dev would allow mod_php5 cohabitation https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/332238 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

John, anyone else in the same situation, I've rebuilt passenger against prefork and made it available from my PPA https://launchpad.net/~a.kurtz/+archive/ppa I'm using it without problems so far. -- Building against apache2-prefork-dev would allow mod_php5 cohabitation https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/332238 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
