[Bug 335333] Re: volume control applet's inverted mouse wheel direction
This bug was fixed in the package gnome-applets - 2.27.2-0ubuntu1 --- gnome-applets (2.27.2-0ubuntu1) karmic; urgency=low * New upstream version (LP: #37). - Accessibility Applet: + Show the correct icon (Callum McKenzie). - Drivemount Applet: + Behave sensibly on gconf corruption or missing icons (Callum McKenzie). - Null Applet: + Remove debugging code (Callum McKenzie). + Mark the applet names for translation. - Stickynotes Applet: + Add scrollbars if the note gets too large for the screen (Dennis Hilmar). Closes LP: #22304. - Weather Applet: + Protect against crashes when the locations file is missing (Callum McKenzie). - Mixer Applet: + Make the up and down keys (and mouse scroll wheel) work correctly for the dock slider, despite what GTK thinks (Callum McKenzie, LP: #335333). + Fix a reference couting bug that would cause crashes at exit (Callum McKenzie). + Make the dock window multihead aware (Matt Keenan). - General: + Added a DOAP file for the project. + Trigger timeouts at second boundaries for efficiency (gQuigs). + Uneeded duplicate images removed from the documentation translations. + Make translations easier by removing unnecessary markup from GtkBuilder .ui files (Callum McKenzie) + Remove .glade files now that glade can edit the .ui files directly. * Rebase on Debian Unstable. - debian/control{.in}: + Don't build with libcpufreq-dev, type-handling, system-tools-backends-dev, libgnome2-dev or libgnomeui-dev. + Build-depends on network-manager-dev. + Build-depend on libgucharmap-dev rather than libgucharmap2-dev. The latter only exists in Debian. + Add Vcs-Bzr URL info. + gnome-applets, gnome-applets-data and gnome-applets-dbg pre-depends on dpkg (= 1.10.24). + gnome-applets suggests gnome-netstatus-applet, deskbar-applet and cpufrequtils rather than recommends. - debian/gnome-applet.manpages: + Don't install mini_commander_applet manpage since the binary is not installed. - debian/patches/02_selector_crash.patch: + Dropped, fixed upstream. - debian/patches/09_modemlights_use_new_gst.patch: + Update to apply cleanly with new version. - debian/patches/13_battstat_measuring_more_appropriate.patch: + Workaround an ACPI bug. - debian/patches/14_battstat_enable_pmi.patch: + Use the pmi interface to know if suspend is available. - debian/patches/80_correct_minicommander_install.patch: + Don't install the minicommander server when not required. - debian/patches/98_autoreconf.patch: + Updated for new version. - debian/rules: + Build the mixer applet. + DEB_DH_BUILDDEB_ARGS := -- -Zbzip2 - debian/watch: + Watch unstable series. -- Chris Coulson chrisccoul...@googlemail.com Tue, 26 May 2009 17:44:06 +0100 ** Changed in: gnome-applets (Ubuntu) Status: Fix Committed = Fix Released -- volume control applet's inverted mouse wheel direction https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/335333 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 335333] Re: volume control applet's inverted mouse wheel direction
I still have this problem, on 9.04 and I just pulled an apt-get upgrade. As was the original problem: Mouse over the applet icon: Wheel Up - Increase Volume Wheel Down - Decrease Volume click the applet, and mouse over the horizontal scrollbar: Wheel Up - Decrease Volume Wheel Down - Increase Volume In addition, when scrolling horizontally: Mouse over the applet icon: Scroll Left - Increase Volume Scroll Right - Decrease Volume {I would call this backwards, and say that it needs to be changed} click the applet, and mouse over the horizontal scrollbar: Scroll Left - Decrease Volume Scroll Right - Increase Volume {I would say that this is correct, and that it should be kept as is} -- volume control applet's inverted mouse wheel direction https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/335333 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 335333] Re: volume control applet's inverted mouse wheel direction
The bug still exists. This probably will need the same fix of bug #314966 that you referred to. But this one isn't in gnome-volume-control , it affects the applet itself, the single channel controlled when you single click the applet. -- volume control applet's inverted mouse wheel direction https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/335333 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
