I installed the ubuntu-xen virtualisation package and then decided to
remove it.
Since then my sound isn't working. I tried
sudo aptitude --purge reinstall linux-sound-base alsa-base alsa-utils
linux-image-`uname -r` linux-ubuntu-modules-`uname -r`
and that's why the crash happened.
