I have seen the G_IS_FILE() issue to, really hard to replicate that condition so I haven't been able to fix it. Andreas, gnome-search-tool is not part of Tracker. The search tool is in gnome-utils, reassigning the package. Thanks for reporting this issue. Do you get any errors if you run gnome-search-tool from a terminal?
