[Bug 364129] Re: Twitter plasmoind causes display corruption and plasmoid instability while running for extended periods.
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 343944 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/343944 There were a few memory leaks that over time would lead to this behavior. Likely the twitter applet exposed the buggy portions of plasma more than the other widgets. ** This bug has been marked a duplicate of bug 343944 Epic plasma memory leak (0.1 mb / sec) -- Twitter plasmoind causes display corruption and plasmoid instability while running for extended periods. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/364129 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 364129] Re: Twitter plasmoind causes display corruption and plasmoid instability while running for extended periods.
It would seem that the problem isn't caused directly by kdetwitter but is instead exposed by kdetwitter. I've had the problem come up from time to time without kdetwitter running but it takes a lot longer, maybee 10 or more hours of use to start appearing. -- Twitter plasmoind causes display corruption and plasmoid instability while running for extended periods. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/364129 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 364129] Re: Twitter plasmoind causes display corruption and plasmoid instability while running for extended periods.
My problem is a bit different, my kde desktop is restarted only when I pass the mouse cursor on the kdetwitter plasmoid after the timeline of my twitter profile is completely loaded. After this the plasmoid is shown without the timeline data. I have the same problem with kdetwitter. Attaches are screen shots. KDE work perfectly fine on my laptop without the kdetwitter plasma widget. -G Jaunty Beta, KDE 4.2.2, Athlon XP 5600, 2GB, nVidia 6100SE, proprietary nvidia driver from nvidia.com. ** Attachment added: corrupted plasma widgets on desktop with kdetwitter http://launchpadlibrarian.net/25844609/desktop_snapshots.jpg -- Twitter plasmoind causes display corruption and plasmoid instability while running for extended periods. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/364129 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
