Public bug reported: Binary package hint: libqt4-core
When I use Qt4 applications, I randomly get massive artifacting in text areas. Artefacts appear either as parts of the desktop (including widgets), or as random chunks of large (20-40px?), bold text, in an un- related font. This happens once every 5-20 minutes, and can be fixed by re-drawing what's on each pixel (ie. by highlighting the area of text under the artefact, or scrolling the affected areas out of view) This mostly happens in Kate, but also in skype, and possibly other programs. It's always in the text area (chat window in skype). will attach files to show some examples. $ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 9.04 Release: 9.04 Linux naught101-laptop 2.6.28-11-generic #42-Ubuntu SMP Fri Apr 17 01:57:59 UTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux $ lspci 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 915GM/GMS/910GML Express Graphics Controller (rev 03) 00:02.1 Display controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 915GM/GMS/910GML Express Graphics Controller (rev 03) ** Affects: qt4-x11 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- massive artefacting in qt4 text areas (kate, skype, etc) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/371114 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
