Public bug reported: Binary package hint: update-manager Since Jaunty/9.04 came out (so ~1 month), update-manager now pops up (seemingly) randomly, either after login, or after doing some command line dpkg operations, or at other times by itself. This could be related to a cronjob. Ideally, update-manager should not pop up unless requested to do so. I run with auto-updates (in theory, at least) disabled, as my primary internet link in a GPRS connection where bandwidth is both slowly and monetarily costly. ** Affects: update-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- update-manager randomly pops up without asking https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/381173 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
