Public bug reported: Ubuntu Installation package: ubuntu-8.10-alternate-i386.iso (intrepid ibex) HW/Laptop: IBM T41 laptop. Laptop OS: No OS only BIOS. Boot up sequence: 1. CD drive and 2. HDD
Situation: - Ubuntu package is installed to CD disk. Disk is put to Laptop's CD drive and Laptop is started. - Next promt pops up: "BOOTMGR is missing, Press Ctrl+Alt+Del" So it's not possible to install this package to this Laptop. Installation does not even start. Tested with CD and DVD and also with other ubuntu packages. There is probably some very simple reason for this, but I do not know that. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- BOOTMGR text pops up when installation is started https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/387693 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
