Public bug reported:

Not sure which package to assign installation problems to. Failure
occurs with Synaptic, apt-get, and gdebi-gtk.

I tried using apport to report the error, but it told me that the
package was not a valid Ubuntu package...go figure.

Here is the terminal output by apt-get:
