I think this is rather important, having these files everywhere clutters up normal use of both konqueror and the desktop itself. How does one go about upgrading this from wishlist to something more? I have updated the description for several reasons: 1) This has nothing to do with GNOME. 2) There is a backup file type defined in KDE already. 3) I provide a testcase.
