Ah yes I can now confirm the issue. When first entering data in a cell if you press the left arrow it jumps out of the cell. Mr Chrys Cheney, this is to clarify my bug report on malfunction of the cursor left Arrow key. When I enter data in a Calc spreadsheet cell and I noticed that I made a typing, spelling.. error and I am still on the unfinished cell, if I try to backup the cursor to correct the mistake by using the cursor left arrow key, the cursor, instead of moving to the left of one character, as expected, jumps to the column to the left of the cell that I am working on. In order to make the correction, I have first click with the mouse back to the cell I was typing and then, using the cursor arrow keys, carry on the correction. You must agree that this is a awkward and time consuming process. This, in my opinion, is a bug and I reported as such. This malfunction makes difficult the correction of a mistyping or similar. The operation of the Left Arrow key is correct." Your last sentence seems to not make sense to me. However in any case using the Left Arrow works for me when the cursor is actually in a cell. If the cell itself is selected instead of the information in the cell then it does move to other cells when you use the arrow keys.
