If you could give me step by step instructions I would be able to follow them and may learn something in the process You can do the above in the terminal by following these steps: Click Applications == Accessories == Terminal In the window that opens shall contain a command prompt. Type sudo dpkg --configure -a in there and press enter It shall ask for a password. Type the password that you provided while installing Ubuntu, and press enter. This should clear the mess created while installing the plug-in and pave way for fresh reinstall of the plug-in. By the way, you did not mention about the event that gave you the error: GStreamer encountered a general supporting library error.
