AmenophisIII The option in the theme is: gtk-auto-mnemonics = 1 Just change that to 0 or remove the line. is there/will there be an option to configure/disable the new behavior (besides changing themes)? if not there will be some very sad people (including me). This bug has been fixed in gtk and the option is available for the themes to use. The default light themes use this option and the accel keys are hidden, and shown only when alt is pressed.
