[Bug 404933] Re: apt-get crash at reloading sources.list
It is not reproducible anymore. ** Changed in: apt (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Fix Released -- apt-get crash at reloading sources.list https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/404933 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 404933] Re: apt-get crash at reloading sources.list
I was unable to recreate this in a Karmic chroot using apt version 0.7.23.1ubuntu2 after adding the mentioned line from your sources.list to mine. Does this still happen with the later version of apt for you? ** Changed in: apt (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete ** Changed in: apt (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Low -- apt-get crash at reloading sources.list https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/404933 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 404933] Re: apt-get crash at reloading sources.list
I activate Debian repository to eventually install some package from there, I always take care about not installing uncomptatible packages or replace important core packages by its Debian version. I am doing this since years in previous Ubuntu releases and apt do not used to crash by this. I think apt shouldn't crash by adding a Debian or any other deb based repository. ** Changed in: apt (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => New -- apt-get crash at reloading sources.list https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/404933 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 404933] Re: apt-get crash at reloading sources.list
I'm just curious, why are you using Debian repositories for Ubuntu. Ubuntu is based on Debian, but they are significantly different and there are a large number of packages that are incompatible with one another. This is likely why the issue is occurring.. ** Changed in: apt (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- apt-get crash at reloading sources.list https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/404933 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 404933] Re: apt-get crash at reloading sources.list
If I comment this line: deb ftp://ftp.fr.debian.org/debian/ sid main contrib non-free The crash is not reproducuble. Also it is not reproducible if I keep the line: deb ftp://ftp.fr.debian.org/debian/ sid main contrib non-free but comment various ubuntu repositories. -- apt-get crash at reloading sources.list https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/404933 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
